Why do newborn babies have fists?

 

Newborns have their fists clenched for their normal reflex activity. The baby was in this position inside the uterus for 36 weeks, her hands were clenched, her body was bent  Because of this, her normal reflex activity lasts for a few weeks after birth So she tries to stay the way she was in the womb.
